Pastor Ernie Jones, a Welshman, received Christ in 1956.  After finishing his ministerial studies at Cliff College, he has been in active ministry for over fifty years.  In 1962 he married Glenys.  After forty years of marriage, Glynns passed away in 2003.  Their son, Chris and his wife Carolyn, have two sons.  The other son, Phil and his wife Sasha, have a daughter and two sons.  In 2006 Pastor Ernie commenced his pastorate at Top Chapel.  Pastor Ernie married Frances in 2007.  Frances lost her husband, Rev. John Desmond of the Church of the Nazarene, in 2002.  They have two sons, Stephen and Tim, and a daughter, Sharon.  Frances now has seven lovely grandchildren.  Jesus Christ has given us a commission to teach and preach the Word of God and to proclaim the Gospel message to all who live in Tyldesley and beyond. The heart cry of Pastor Ernie is for God to pour out the Holy Spirit and save our Nation from the spiritual darkness that has come upon this great nation of Britain. The words of Isaiah 64,  O that You would rend the heavens.  Pastor Ernie appeals to all Christians across the world to pray with the Christians of Top Chapel for the town of Tyldesley and our Nation.
